SPLASH 2016
Sun 30 October - Fri 4 November 2016 Amsterdam, Netherlands

The Systems, Programming, Languages and Applications: Software for Humanity (SPLASH) conference is the premier conference at the intersection of programming languages and software engineering and embraces all aspects of software construction and delivery. Every year, SPLASH attracts over 500 attendees. Besides the keynotes, the conference will feature close to 100 talks by leading researchers in the field of Programming Languages and Software Engineering, and various opportunities for networking, especially valuable for students considering graduate school.

The purpose of Programming Languages Mentoring Workshop (PLMW) is to give promising students who consider pursuing a graduate degree in this field an overview of what research in this field looks like and how to get into and succeed in graduate school. In other words, a combination whirlwind tour of this research area, networking opportunity, and how-to-succeed guide. The program of PLMW will include talks by prominent researchers of the field of programming languages and software engineering providing an insight in their research. To learn more about PLMW, please see the SIGPLAN PLMW web page.

This year’s PLMW at SPLASH takes place Tuesday November 1st and will feature talks by Andrew P. Black, Matthias Felleisen, Julia Lawall and Jan Vitek, with more to come (complete program will be announced beginning of August).
